12.31.25
In its second year, the ElevateHER Pitch Program continued to build momentum by uplifting women entrepreneurs across the Marianas through purpose‑driven innovation and cultural pride. Presented in partnership with KUAM Communications and the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce, ElevateHER has grown into a powerful platform that celebrates women who lead with heart, resilience, and vision.
The 2025 ElevateHER Pitch Program took center stage at Fanachu Famalåo’an 2025: In Bloom, creating space for women to be supported, celebrated, and recognized. Against a backdrop of community, creativity, and connection, this year’s event honored changemakers whose businesses are deeply rooted in culture while reaching boldly toward the future.
Taking home the Grand Prize, Odyessa San Nicolas of Kamyu Co. captivated judges and audiences alike with her innovative reimagining of the traditional CHamoru kamyo. By blending heritage with modern design, San Nicolas is preserving cultural identity while creating contemporary pieces that resonate with a new generation.
Her work exemplifies the spirit of ElevateHER honoring where we come from while creatively shaping what comes next. Kamyo Co. stands as a testament to how cultural traditions can evolve without losing their meaning, proving that innovation and heritage can thrive side by side.
Awarded by the audience, the People’s Choice Award went to Jiovanni Leon Guerrero of Chamorrita Eats, whose heartfelt presentation celebrated island flavors, stories, and shared identity. Through food, Leon Guerrero brings people together by telling stories of home, family, and culture with every dish.
Chamorrita Eats is more than a culinary brand; it’s a celebration of community and connection, reminding us that food is one of the most powerful ways culture is preserved and shared.
Together, this year’s winners embody the heart of ElevateHER. They show us that when culture and innovation meet, communities flourish. Their journeys reflect the strength of women entrepreneurs who build businesses not only for success, but for impact uplifting culture, honoring identity, and inspiring others to follow.
As ElevateHER continues to grow, so does its mission: to empower women entrepreneurs across the Marianas by giving them the platform, visibility, and support they deserve.
At Fanachu Famalåo’an 2025: In Bloom, one thing was clear. When women are supported and celebrated, they don’t just rise, they help entire communities bloom.
