Madcollab: Scooping Up Community and Compassion

12.31.25

Collaboration has always been about more than business, it’s about building meaningful connections that give back to our community. This spirit came to life at MadCollab 2025, where we partnered with a beloved local small business, Sunday’s Ice Cream, for a collaboration that was equal parts creative, delicious, and impactful.

For this year’s MadCollab, Bank of Guam and Sunday’s Ice Cream teamed up to create custom ice cream flavors, celebrating local creativity while supporting a greater cause. Together, we sold mini ice cream cups, inviting the community to enjoy a sweet treat while contributing to something bigger than themselves.

Proceeds from the sales were split between both businesses, which we committed our portion entirely to giving back. Our earnings were donated to Harvest House, a local non‑profit organization in Guam that supports foster youth and families.

When choosing a cause, we were intentional. We wanted to support an organization that serves our community's young people who deserve stability, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive. Harvest House does exactly that, providing care, resources, and hope to Guam’s foster youth and the families who support them. Partnering with Sunday’s Ice Cream made this initiative even more special, allowing two local organizations to come together for a shared mission of community care.

Following the event, we came together once more for a post‑event visit to Harvest House. During the donation presentation, we had the opportunity to walk through the facility alongside Harvest House’s president, learning firsthand about the organization’s work and the impact it has on foster youth across the island.

“Walking through Harvest House and learning about Guam’s foster kids and their families was such a heartwarming and insightful experience,” shared Claire Sablan, Bank of Guam Product Manager. “It really puts into perspective how meaningful even small acts of support can be for these children and the people caring for them.”

The visit served as a powerful reminder that community partnerships—when rooted in compassion—can create real and lasting change.

MadCollab was a celebration of local collaboration, shared values, and community impact. By combining creativity with purpose, we all demonstrated how local businesses can work together to uplift organizations that are doing meaningful work behind the scenes.

We’re grateful to everyone who enjoyed a scoop (or two) and helped turn ice cream into a vehicle for positive change. Here’s to more collaborations that nourish not just our community’s creativity but its heart as well.
