Operation Christmas Drop
12.30.21
Established in 1952, Operation Christmas Drop is the Department of Defense’s longest running humanitarian airlift operation. Each year, around the Christmas holiday, bundles of supplies attached to parachutes are dropped to over 50 remote islands throughout the Pacific. Prior to drop dates, volunteers from the local community and businesses raise funds and collect drop box donations of much needed goods and supplies. These supplies include school supplies, clothing, non-perishable foods, fishing equipment and toys. This year, Bank of Guam generously donated over $1000 dollars in supplies and goods to aid in the daily lives of our brothers and sisters throughout the islands.
